Brake Repair in Pottstown, PA
Complete Brake System Diagnosis & Repair
When something doesn't feel right with your brakes, don't guess. Hollywood Garage West provides complete brake system diagnosis and repair for passenger cars and light trucks in Pottstown, PA.
From brake pads and rotors to hydraulic, drum and ABS brake systems, we'll determine what's causing the problem before recommending repairs.
Brake Repair Begins With a Proper Diagnosis
Squeaking, grinding, vibration, a soft brake pedal or a change in how your vehicle stops doesn't automatically tell us which parts need to be replaced.
That's why we start by inspecting and diagnosing the braking system before recommending parts.
Our technicians evaluate the condition of the braking system and identify the source of the problem. When faulty components are found, we typically photograph them when possible so we can show you what we found even after your vehicle has been reassembled.
Once we understand what's happening, we'll explain our findings and recommend the appropriate repair.
Our goal isn't to guess which brake parts your vehicle needs. It's to identify the problem first and repair it correctly.

FAQs
How do I know if my brakes need to be replaced?
1
Brake problems can show up in several ways, including squeaking or grinding noises, vibration or pulsation while braking, a soft or unusual brake pedal, increased stopping distance, warning lights, or simply a change in how the vehicle feels when braking.
These symptoms don't necessarily tell you which component needs replacement. Hollywood Garage West inspects and diagnoses the braking system before recommending repairs.
Do I need to replace my rotors when replacing brake pads?
2
Almost always it is the best practice to replace the rotors at the same time as the brake pads. The condition of the rotors and the rest of the braking system should be evaluated before determining if they need to be replaced.
Hollywood Garage West does not resurface brake rotors. When rotor replacement is necessary, we install new rotors using OE-quality aftermarket components.
What is your pad and rotor warranty?
3
Qualifying standard-duty brake pad and rotor replacement performed by Hollywood Garage West includes a 24-month / 24,000-mile warranty, whichever comes first.
How often should brake fluid be changed?
4
Hollywood Garage West recommends brake fluid service approximately every 30,000 miles as preventative maintenance.
Service needs can vary depending on the vehicle, its condition, usage, and manufacturer recommendations. If you're unsure when your brake fluid was last serviced, we can help evaluate your braking system.
